McCrary was the son of Bartley and Rebecca McCrary. Lucious Quinnius Cincinnatus (known as L.Q.C.) was born in 1826 in Baldwin County. He married: 1) Rains, Margaret 07-08-1852 (Talbot Co) 2) McCrary, Jane G. 4 Jan 1855 W.W. Corbitt(Taylor Co) (Jane died October 24, 1864 (Sister of Elizabeth & daughter of John & Jennie McCrary ) 3) Perry, Emelia E 14 Dec 1865 by B.L. Ross (she was daughter of Charlton Y. and Harriet Perry) He served as sheriff of Taylor County from 1856-1860. LQC McCrary served as guardian for Mary Ann, the minor child of Britton Pope, 1857. She was 17 years old at the time of her father's death. In Jan 1860, he sells two lots (LL44 LL45 in the 14th District to Bartley McCrary Senior --probably his father) During the Civil War, he was in Co F. 27th. McCRARY, L.Q.C. 2nd Lieut Sept 9, 1861. Elected 1st Lieut Sept 11, 1861. Wounded at Seven Pines, VA May 31, 1862. Resigned, disability, Deb 23, 1863. (Born in Baldwin Co, GA July 22, 1826) He and his brother, Wiley, were the Executors for his father, Bartley McCrary's will when probated 10-7-1867. In the 1870 census, he was living in Butler with his wife Emelia Perry, in the home of her mother, Harriet Perry. In 1880 they are living in Bibb County on the western side of the county near Crawford. He is listed as Superintendent of (and it is unreadable, could be ?farm? SOURCES: pg 348 11 Jan 1860 Lucious Q.
