Doyle" cedoyle@gtcom.net Moses Parks, his brother John and a sister Millie, came with their Mother Elizabeth Cannady from North Carolina to Georgia after their Dad Jonathon Parks died after the Revolutionary War. Family stories tell how Moses built one of the first Log Cabins, in what is today, Macon, Ga. Married Ella Harris and had several children, including: John Gildersworth Parks, William Gildersleeve Parks and a girl Ann Parks that married William E. Dwight, b. 1810. Ella and Moses burried at Reynolds, Ga. in what used to be called Little Vine Church, William Gildersleeve and Betsy Thompson also buried there. John Gildersworth Parks and wife #1, Mahalie Phillips & wife #2 Jeffersonia Lavenia Carr, are buried in Pinelevel cemetery Taylor Co. Ga. John Parks and Mahalia had 8 children, the first being Mary Parks that married John Floyd Downs.
