Shehee and Henrietta Collins Shehee. Sherrod and his Wife were early settlers of Pike County Ga. Daniel Shehee was the Grandson of a Revolutionary War Soldier Daniel Shehee and his wife Allafair Green Shehee. They married in Dorchester Couty Maryland in 1790 and moved to Washington Cty. Ga. soon after. Daniel Shehee and Missouri Clayton Battle Shehee married in Marion County Ga. in 1852 and moved to Early County Ga. with some of the Fryer Family who were his In-laws as Adelia Shehee married Zachariah Lewis Fryer in Pike Cty Ga. Daniel Shehee served in the 13th Ga Infantry Company G. Early Guards , Evans Brigade, Gordons Division of the Army of Northern Virginia. From the Collections of Early County Historical Society 1979 Vol 2. p.166 Lt. Daniel Shehee wants all men of Company C 10th regiment of the Ga. Militia to meet him in Blakely next Tuesday prepared to go to the front. 10-19-1864 After the War between the States, Daniel his wife and children moved to Taylor County Ga. where he was part owner of a Grist Mill on White Water Creek with his brother-in-law John Randolph Battle. The Mill was sold to Bateman and now is known as Bateman's Mill. It was located where Ga.127 crosses White Water Creek approx. 10 miles south of Butler. Most of The Shehee family is buried in a family cemetery on the hill up from where the old Mill was located.
