Col. Co. F. 27th GA Regt. Colquitt's Brigade. Son of Henry Brewer, Monroe Co.GA) Mother: Amanda A. BEALL BREWER (Dec 29, 1820 -June 29, 1896) Age 75 yrs 6 months Children: Brewer, James H. (June 22, 1839-Dec 13, 1862) Age 22 yrs 5 mo, 21 days. (CSA Co. G 6th GA Infantry) Died at Yorktown, VA Dec 13, 1862 Mary A. Brewer Jinks Sept 5, 1848 - June 3,1939 Husband: William Henry Jinks buried in Rice Cemetery, Rice, (Navarro Co) TX. Mary returned to Taylor County after his death in 1901. Jessie L. Brewer (Brother of James Brewer) Born March 22, 1841 Died October 10, 1861 (From wounds sustained in combat) Also, several children named Brewer are buried there. They had the small metal plaques placed in the ground by funeral homes until a permanent marker could be erected. However, these dated from the early 1900's and the funeral home was in Corsicana, Texas. Will send names and dates as soon as possible.
