HOLSEY CEMETERY

Location: Identified in Deed Book June 2, 1866 as being on the 14th dist of originally Muscogee now Taylor, LL 35 (southeastern portion) nearl Holsey tanning yard. Son Julius H. Holsey was grantor. Deed Book D-a pg 17


Holsey, Hopkins
1799 (Hancock County) - April 4, 1859
Member of Bar- Taylor County; Representative from Hancock County to State Legislature 1821; US Representative Harris County 24 & 25 Congress)

[1st wife: Elizabeth Holsey, daughter of General Henry Mitchell. married June 27, 1826 in Hancock Co. She died April, 1837]

[2nd wife: Mary Julia Neisler, daughter of Dr. Hugh & Rachel (Mitchell) Neisler, Aug 14, 1850 in Clarke Co, GA.
