1888 September 4-6 Upatoie Association held with Phillippi,
Schley Co., Ga. New Hope Church Taylor Co., Ga- messenger was
Francis Evans Glover. Church reported 1 received by confession
of faith, total membership 25. Meeting on 1 st. Sunday. There was
trouble over Harmony Church & Echeconnee Association. Motion,
unanimously agreed to grant the request of Bethel and Butler in
dropping New Hope, of Taylor County, and Ebenezer, of Macon Co,
Ga. Bluff Springs called for a letter of dismission, which was
objected to by two churches. Elder Joshua F. Sykes, Pastor

1889 September 3-5 Bluff Springs was dropped by the Upatoie
Association.

1891 January 5 — Elder Jack English was called to serve as
pastor. He served until 1909.

1891 April 4 - Lavinia Underwood Windham died.

1893 August-

1895 April 4 — John J. Windham died. He was born September
18, 1818.

1914 May 3 Bethel Church Taylor Co., Ga. received a letter from
New Hope requesting a committee from Bethel Church to meet on
Saturday before 1st. Sunday in June to try and bring about a
restoration of New Hope Church. On motion Brethren John
Thomas Childs, William G. Moulton and John Hampton
Childres were appointed on that committee.

1917 September 4-6 Upatoie Association held with Mt. Nebo,
Taylor Co., Ga. New Hope Church petitioned to join the
Association. G. W. Windham was the messenger and church
reported 7 members. Meeting on 2nd. Sunday. Elder J. A.
