 J.P. McCrary  to Bartley McCrary 
$2500 in full payment for two Negro boys named William eighteen years old and 
the other named Reubin fourteen years old. Said Negroes I will warrant to be 
sound in body and mind  and I also warrant them free from all claims whatsoever.

In Testimony I have set my hand and affixed my seal the day above written

Whereas there has been considerable business transactions between me the 
undersigned & my brother, Bartley McCrary & whereas we have finally settled up 
to this date. Now I have this day received of the said Bartley McCrary all the 
demands I have against him in any respect whatever & this instrument  shall be 
& is considered a full & final receipt from me to him for all demans of 
whatever character up to this date this the 4th day of August 1858.   John 
McCrary
Test A.McCants, J.P. McCrary

Received of Bartley McCrary, Administrator on estate of John McCrary, late of 
said county deceased in full of my distributive share of said estate. I being a 
son & heir at law of said deceased & that I have no further cliams on said 
Bartley McCrary as Administrator of said deceased in no ways or will whataever 
in relation to the Estate of John McCrary, deceased.

Given under my hand & seal this the 4th day of August 1858.
