Streetman and J.E. Brewer, Steward of Corbett Chappell, M.E. Church South of the county of Taylor and State of Georgia of the first part. and L.M. Streetman and J.E. Brewer, as Trustees and their successors in office of Corbett's Chappel M.E. Church south of the County of Taylor and State of Georgia of the second part. Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the cause of Christ and the Church and the Donation of the church through us as Stewards by Mrs. Mary Susan Whatley at and before the sealing and delivry of those present the receipt whereof is herby acknowledged hath granted, bargained, bequethed, conveyed and confirmed unto the said party of the Second part; Assigns all the following described property to wit: 4 acres of land in the North West corner of Lot #234 in the 12th District of Taylor County, Georgia whence the Corbett Chappell, M.E. Church South is now located. [Herod Bowen (Sol) granted this lot, Nov 24, 1835, living in Washington County, Gilbert's District] To have and to hold the said above granted and described with all and signular the rights, members and appurtenances thereunto appertaining and the only proper use, benefit and behooves of the said party of the Second Part, their successors and assigns in Fee Simple and the said part of the First part, the said bargained property above described unto the said party of the Second part, their successors and against all and every other person or person shall and will and do have in warrant and forever defend by virtue of these present in witness whereof the said party of the First part hath set their hand, affixed their seal and delivered the presents the day and year and inst above written.
