Taylor County    } 

This Indenture made this
fourteenth day of December in the year Eighteen
hundred and Eighty One between Henty N. Duke of the
State and county aforesaid of the one part, and Ira
J. Marshall of Monroe County and State aforesaid of
the other part: Witnesseth: that the said H. N. Duke
for and in consideration of the sum of Four Hundred
and Sixteen Dollars and Sixty three cents to him in
hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of
these presents the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold and
conveyed, and doth by these presents grant bargain,
sell and convey unto the the said Ira J. Marshall
his heirs and asigns all that tract or parcel of
land of land situate lying and being in the County
aforesaid being in 3rd District of originally
Muscogee County now Taylor County, being lot number
Two Hundred and thirty one containing two hundred
two and one one half acres more or less. To have and
to hold said tract or parcel of land to him the said
Ira J. Marshall his heirs and assigns together with
all & singular the rights members & appertenunances
thereof to the same in any manner belonging to his
and their own proper use benefit and behoof forever
in Fee Simple. And the said Henry N. Duke for
himself his heirs executors and administrators the
said bargained premises to the said Ira J. Marshall
his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever
defend the rights and title thereof against the
claims of themselves and against the claims of all
other persons whomsoever. In witness whereof the
said Henry N. Duke hath hereunto set his hand and
affixed his seal the day and year above written.
