County of Taylor} This Indenture made this fifteenth
day of our Lord one Thousand Eight Hundred and fifty
seven between Henry N. Duke  of the County of Taylor
of one part and Enoch Duke of the County of Taylor
of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Henry N.
Duke for and in consideration of the sum of Six
Hundred Dollars to him in hand paid at & before the
sealing & delivery of these presents the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath Granted,
bargained, sold, alliened, conveyed and by these
presents was Grant, bargain, sell, allien, convey &
confirm unto the said Enoch Duke his heirs & assigns
all that tract or parcel of land in the County of
Taylor bounded on one side lying & being in the
Third district of said County known & existing
within plan of said district as the number (251) two
hundred & fifty one containing two hundred two and
one half acres more or less to have and to hold said
tract of land unto the said Enoch Duke his heirs and
assigns together with all and singular the
appertunances thereunto belonging to him and his own
proper use, benefit, and behoof forever in fee
simple and the said Henry N. Duke for & for Enoch
Duke for his heirs Executors and assigns will
warrant and forever defend the rights & titles
thereof against themselves and against the claims of
all persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof the
said Henry N. Duke has hereunto set his hand and
seal the day and year above written.
