Andrews Muscogee County have granted, bargained and sold a Negro girl named Lucy of dark complexion about 10 years old . And I do covenant with the said Wm G. Andrews his heirs,and assigns forever .... that the said negro girl Lucyu is a slave born that she is in sound health, both body and mind and that I will and my heirs, executors and adminstrators forever warrant and defend. Provided nevertheless that if I, the said James A. David, hsall well and truly par or cause to be paid unto the said Wm G. Andrews his heirs and assigns a promissory note of even date with these presents made due one day after date made for $360, then this obligation as well as said note to be void. In witness whereof I have hereunto set his hand and seal on the 2nd day of June 1854. In presence of Benj. F. Reese, John Sturdivant, JP Recorded:27 June 1854 Taylor Co Georgia George T. Coxwell & Augustus McKinzee, carpenters, claim an incumbrance on the house & premises on which it is entired of James A. Davis, adjoining the lots of William W. Wiggins and John B. Wright & better known as the lot whereon Davis ten pin alley stands as lot number nine (9) in Block No 5 in the Town of Butler in said county for the building said house on ten pen alley.
