H. Hill to James H. McElmurray State of Georgia Taylor County This indenture made the eight day of November in the year of our lord, one thousand Eight Hundred and Seventy one between H. H. Hill of the county of Taylor of the one part and James H. McElmurray of the county of Taylor of the other part. With respect that the said H. H. Hill for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand and forty dollars in hand paid, at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold conveyed and confirmed and by these presents duth grant bargain sell alien convey and confirm unto the said James H. McElmurray, his heirs and assigns Lot of Land No 165 in the third District of Originally Muscogee, now Taylor County containing forty acres. To have and to hold the said bargained premises with all and Singular the rights, members and appurtenances thereunto appertaining to the only proper use, benefit and behoof(?) of him, the said James H. McElmurray, his heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns in fee simple, and the(?) said H. H. Hill the said bargained premises unto the said James H. McElmurray, his heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, against the said H.H. Hill, his heirs, executors, and administrators and against all and every other person or persons shall and will warrant and forever defend by virtue of these presents. In witness whereof the said H.
