Hill to Elizabeth Thompson State of Georgia Taylor County This indenture made this ninth day of January in the year of our Lord, one Thousand, Eight Hundred, and Seventy Eight between Hamilton H. Hill of the county and state aforesaid of the one part and Elizabeth Thompson, of the same place of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Hamilton H. Hill for and in consideration of the sum of seven hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold and conveyed and does by these presents grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said Elizabeth Thompson, her heirs and assigns, all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the third district of originally Muscogee and now Taylor County number one hundred and fifty six(156) containing one hundred one and one fourth acres more or less, it being the west-half of said Lot of Land, also number one hundred and sixty five(165) containing one hundred one and one fourth acres more or less, it being the West half . To have and to hold said tracts or parcels of Land unto her the said Elizabeth Thompson, her heirs and assigns together with all and singular the rights, members and appurtenances thereof to the same in anywise belonging to her and the only proper use, benefit and behoof forever in fee simple and the said Hamilton H. Hill for himself, his heirs, executors, and administrators the said bargained premises unto the said Elizabeth Thompson, her heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend the rights and titles thereof against themselves and against the claims of all other persons whatever.
