Sworn to and subscribed before me this 10th Aug 1850 David J. Lawson. C.Y. Perry, J.O. Recorded November 20th 1886 J.B. Fowler clerk Additional Comments: This same land was sold by Drury Averett to his son, Drury W. in 1857. The son was killed in the Civil War, and the Drury Averett heirs must have inherited. The only deed I have found is one in which James J. Ruffin (wife of daughter, Sarah Averett) sells 'his interest' to some of the nearby land, to W.D. Grace, wife of daughter, Lourancy Averett, which also included the saw mill that W.D. Grace operated on White Water Creek.
