This Indenture made the 20th day of August in the Year Eighteen Hudrend and 89 between C.A. Pope, Sheriff of said County of the first part and P.C. Watson of Taylor County of the second part. 

Witnesseth that where as R.M. Bryant one of the lawful Constable of said Taylor County after making a return of no personal property did seize levy upon and return to C.A. Pope Sheriff as aforesaid, who afterwards proposed to sale a certain Lot or tract of land hereinafter more fully described before the Court in said County between the Legal hours of sale and after advertising the same according to Law in the Butler Herald Newspaper for the space of thirty days. 

Thereafter did sell the said Lot of or tract of Land on the 24th day of the present month said Land being levied on and sale as the property of J.T. Hartley under and by virtue of an Execution issued from the Tax collector of Taylor County in favor of the State and County against the J.T. Hartley and the said P.C. Watson having been the highest bidder for the same and it being knocked to him as the purchaser at the sum hereafter named. 

Now the said C.A. Pope Sheriff in consideration of the premises and the sum of Two 50/100 dollars to him in hand paid at and before the signing and delivery of these present the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has granted, bargained, sold, aliened and conveyed and by these presents, does grant bargain,sell and convey unto the said P.C. Watson,his heirs and assigns the aforesaid Lot or tract of Land, lying and being in the Twelfth District and in said County and State and known in the plan of said District as Lot of Land number One Hundred and Twelve (112) in the 12th District of Taylor County Georgia. To have and to hold the said Lot or Tract of Land to the said P.C. Watson, his heirs and assigns in as full and ample a manner as the same J.T. Hartley might have done. In testimony whereof the said Sheriff has hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written.
