This indenture made the 5th day of Jany in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Nintey Nine between James J. Ruffin of the county of Taylor and state of Georgia of the First part and Emanuel Montgomery, Rich Jackson, and Ala Johnson & C.A. Adams, Trustee of Rocky Mont Church & their successors in office of the county of Taylor and State of Georgia of the Second Part. Witnesseth that the said party of the First Part for and in consideration of the sum of Fifteen Dollards in hand paid, at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receip whereof is hereby acknowledged, has granted, bargained, sold, aligned, conveyed and confirmed and by these present...all the following described property to wit: All that tract or parcel of land known and distinguished as 1 1/4 acre one and on quarter acre of land more or less lying and being in the North West corner of lot of land number (146) one hundred and forty six in the (14) fourteenth district of Taylor County Georgia said land being described as follows commencing at the North West corner of said lot of land and running ninety five yards East on North line, then running seventy yards South from the North line making a plat of land niney five yards long and seventy yards wide to the public road on the south. Said above described land is sold by me for church and school purposes and if used for any other purpose said land shall revert back to my estate..... In witness whereof, the said party of the first part has hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal and delivered these presents to the day and year first above written. J.J.
