JOHN MANGHAM POOLE, a
Taylor County native and brother of
Mrs. Edna Lackey of Howard, was
taken prisoner by the Japanese and
died in the service of his country in
the Pacific area on August 31, 1942.
Mr. Poole was the son of Mr. and Mrs.
E. J. Poole of Reynolds. His father
was the town marshal! in Reynolds for
many years.
