Waters and family was destroyed by fire early in the morning last Friday. This residence was a landmark in Reynolds having been built about the time of the Civil War by Washington Hodges, one of Reynolds pioneer citizens. The fire was discovered by Mr. Waters too late for the fire apparatus to save the building. The property was owned by Mr. E.A. Hollis of Reynolds and was partly covered by insurance.
