Wall. It is presumed that the shooting was done by Morris Palmer, another negro, as they had had some words Sunday afternoon, and a piece of Palmer's tie and tie clasp and a song book belonging to him were found near the dead body. Several bullets pierced his body and up until this time Palmer has not been located. An inquest was held Monday morning. Palmer conducted prayer meeting services at the negro church Sunday night and the shooting occured immediately after the services closed, and was discovered by negroes going home from church. There were no eyewitnesses. File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/taylor/newspapers/jameshod87nnw.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/gafiles/ File size: 1.4 Kb
