Underwood, gathered Wednesday afternoon for a picnic supper and family reunion at Catalpa Park Potterville. These children of Mr. and Mrs. Underwood are as follows: Mr. and Mrs. H.F. Underwood and Mr. and Mrs. U.S. Underwood of Potterville, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Hobbs of Reynolds, Mr. and Mrs. L.L. Wainwright, Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Perkins, of Butler and Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Daniel, of Jacksonville. These were all present except Mr. Daniel. All of the thirty-three grandchildren were present but three. It was a delightful gathering in every way. One of the chief attractions being the splendid supper spread. A long table was literally piled up with ham and chicken, biscuit, sandwiches, salad, pickles, pies and cakes and dozens of other good things to eat. It was a happy throng that gathered about the table just as the sun went down. A number of friends had the pleasure and honor of gathering with these splendid people. Mr. Woodson, school teacher, asked God’s blessing upon the food and entire family. Mr. W.F. Smith superintendent of the mill made an after dinner speech in which he welcomed all such gatherings to the shady trees, cool spring water, swings, bathing pools, etc. Several of the Underwood family with some of their friends had a delightful moonlight auto trip to Miona Springs after supper. We all pronounced the reunion a great success and wish these good people many like occasions in the future. A.R.
