Weaver New Senator Elected in Twenty-Third to Succeed Brother Killed in Atlanta An election was held in Taylor, Houston and Crawford counties Saturday for the purpose of electing a State Senator from the Twenty-Third Senatorial district as successor to Hon. W.F. Weaver, who met an untimely death by automobile accident in Atlanta July 10. Col. J.M. Weaver, a brother of the late Senator, had no opposition. Some important legislation affecting the district has been tabled in the Senate until the time district will be represented.
