Letters To Santa Claus

Tangent, Ga., Dec. 15, 1916

Dear Santa Claus:

I am a good little boy, five years old.  I’m at my Grandpa Hammonds, and want
you to bring me a gun, train, firecrackers, some nice fruit and candies.  Now,
dear Santy, please remember all the orphan boys and girls, bring all of them
something nice.  I would feel bad if I knew any of them were not remembered. 
Wishing you a merry Xmas and happy New Year, I am your little friend,

Dear Santa Claus:

I am a good little boy, 10 years old.  I want you to bring me an automobile,
some sparklers, firecrackers, roman candles, some nice fruits, etc.  Wishing you
a merry Xmas and happy New Year.
