Howard, Ga., Sept. 12th ‘78

Mr. D. R. Brown celebrated his fifth anniversary by asking his friends to take
tea with him on Wednesday evening the 11th inst.  It is useless to say that the
quantity of Mrs. Brown’s wine, cakes and jellies, was considerably diminished as
your correspondent was there and was as usual very hearty.  Mr. Brown informed
us that he had lived so pleasantly that he could hardly realize the fact five
years had elapsed since his happy union.
