Underwood on April the twenty-second in celebration of their Golden Wedding Day. The house was artistically decorated with ferns and cut flowers. In the dining room pink and white roses were used in profusion. A vase of marchalneils formed the centerpiece for the table. A several course dinner was served, including all the delicacies for which this southern home is well known. After dinner the guests were entertained by interesting stories told of the past, and other stories relative to the old southern life. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. L.L. Wainwright and children, Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Perkins and children, Mrs. Ira Hobbs, Mrs. Jack Hobbs and two little daughters, Neva and Resa, Mr. and Mrs. U.S. Underwood and children, Mr. and Mrs. H.F. Underwood and children, Mrs. Anne Windham and daughter, Mrs. George Windham and children and Mrs. Culverson. A token of remembrance was sent by Mrs. C.M. Daniel who was unavoidably absent.
