Strong Men of Garrett Family Hold Reunion

One of the most interesting events of Taylor County during the Christmas season 
was the family reunion of J.T. Garrett at Charing.  Those present at this 
reunion were Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Garrett, Dr. Johnnie Garrett, of Baconton; W.R. 
Garrett, of Manchester and Messrs. E.O., R.L. and Sim Garrett of Charing.

This family is composed on the whole, of as large men as are to be met with 
anywhere.  Their weights are as follows: J.T. Garrett, 205 pounds; Dr. John 
Garrett, 175 pounds; E.O. Garrett, 176 pounds; R.L. Garrett, 189 pounds; Sim 
Garrett, 187 pounds, and W.R. Garrett, 184 pounds.
