Murray celebrated his 60th birthday on Thursday the 29th of Dec., with an old-fashion turkey dinner, at which it was the pleasure of the writer in company with a large number of the friends and relatives of Mr. and Mrs. Murray to be present. We will not say old gentleman for fear of wounding the feelings of Mr. Murray who having reached the age of three-score years, appeared as if in manhood’s earliest days. He seemed to realize the importance of the occasion and made all present feel as if they were in their father’s house. Mr. Murray was much rejoiced at the kind protection that had been over him and his family and the bountiful harvest of an all-wise Providence. So much so that he could not refrain his tears. The table was ladened with all that heart could wish and we were loath to leave this happy home. We return thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Murray and it is the wish of a sincere friend that Heaven’s blessings may continue to rest upon them.
