Wallace in honor of their daughter Miss Sara, was a memorable merry occasion. The elegant home of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace, on Howard St., is well adapted to entertaining. It was brilliant with light, fragrant with flowers and animated with the presence of beautiful young ladies during the hours from eight to twelve. Miss Wallace is an extremely attractive young lady, with a lovely face, fine eyes and general air, at once high bred and graceful. Her gown was a strikingly becoming one. The parlor was beautifully decorated with flowers, violets were used as the principal decorations. A bouquet of violets were given to everyone present. Mr. and Mrs. P.S. Awtrey, Miss Rosalinda Carter and others much added to the entertainment by their vocal and instrumental solos. At eleven o’clock the guests were invited into the spacious dining hall. Here the decorations were entirely of violets. The table was particularly artistic in arrangement. The affair was an altogether lovely entertainment and one of genuine enjoyment. Those present were: Miss Mattie Montfort, with Dr. W.L. Ryder, of Talbotton; Miss Maggie Frierson, with J.N. Mitchell; Miss Gussie Hines, with D.A. Oden; Miss Bessie Hines, with W.E.A. Smith; Miss Ella Montfort, with E.R. Layfield; Miss Brownie Newsome, with Dr. H.T. Gaines; Miss Lizzie Mauk, with T.H. Battle; Rosalinda Caldwell with J.T. Bateman; Miss Matile Bateman with C.E.
