Griffith in the chair. The convention was called to at 10:30 a.m. and Mr. M.C. Howell was elected as secretary pro tem. At 11 o’clock Mr. G.G. Miles was introduced to the audience and gave a practical but interesting talk for at least one hour on the work of Sunday schools. At 12 o’clock the convention took a recess for dinner. At half-past one the association reassembled and were highly entertained by recitations from the little people, most of whom were from Pleasant Hill school superintended by Mrs. I.W. Garrett, and one of the best in the county. Prizes were awarded by Rev. J.T. Adams, to Misses Alma Brand, Annie Belle Garrett and Master Jack Gill. All did well. Hon. B.W. Sanford gave an interesting talk of a few moments. Mr. P.B. Griffith was re-elected as president and Rev. J.T. Adams was elected as secretary for another year. Pleasant Hill was selected as the place for holding the next quarterly meeting which will be on Friday the 31st of August. The convention was well attended and everybody enjoyed the day.
