Adams, was the happy recipient of a pure Carnelian stone from the Right Rev. Henry R. Coleman, of Seattle, Washington, last Saturday morning accompanied with the following verse: Miss Ruth Adams, This little stone I now present, From Zion’s City to you ‘tis sent. It came from the very place, Where Jesus died to save our race. Henry C. Coleman This is a pure Carnelian stone. Our little friend, Miss Ruth, intends to have this stone set in a nice ring as a testimony of her appreciation. On the same page of the paper there was an article about a lecture delivered by Rev. Coleman at the Fickling Lodge. Apparently he came for a visit to Butler and gave Ruth the stone during his stay. Here is the excerpt about his travels to the Holy Land: “Fickling Lodge 129 F&AM, had the pleasure last Friday night of listening to a lecture delivered by the Right Rev. Henry R. Coleman, recently of the Grand Lodge of Ky., but now of Seattle, Washington. Mr. Coleman has made two trips to the Holy Land and spent quite a while in Egypt and Palestine in Masonic research, and his lecture was very much appreciated by each and all present.” File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/taylor/newspapers/nw1423missruth.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.9 Kb
