Garrett Burned At Flem Messrs. J.T. Garrett & Son, doing a large mercantile business at Flem, on the AB&A Railroad, had the misfortune to lose their storehouse and its contents by fire on Wednesday night the 26th of December. On the stock of goods, valued at $4,000 there was an insurance of $2,500. The storehouse was a large new building valued at $1,000 on which there was no insurance. The fire was discovered about 11 o'clock, but the cause is not definitely known. The loss falls heavy on Mr. J.T. Garrett who had invested a large sum of money in fitting up his business at Flem, who has the sympathy of his many friends. We learn that it is the intention of Mr. Garrett to rebuild at once, probably with brick. - Butler Herald This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.3 Kb
