E. Aultman celebrated his eighty-second birthday Saturday 27th inst. with a sumptuous dinner to which a number of the Captain’s friends and relatives were fortunate guests. The Captain and his good wife who have already celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary live just a mile from the corporate limits of Reynolds on one of the best farms in the section. Time has dealt gently with this much-admired couple. Both are yet active and do not appear to be much past fifty. The walk from home to town and return is a daily exercise mostly enjoyed by the Captain, and no automobilist could ever deprive him of that pleasure. He has ever been considered one of the county’s most substantial and best citizens amiable and gallant, a polished gentleman and an intellectual man. One interesting fact in connection with this celebration is that Capt. Aultman has a nephew, Mr. J.W. Aultman living in Macon, just two years younger than himself, but having the same birthday. For twenty-six years past these two gentlemen have alternated with a big celebration dinner at their homes, and during which period nothing has ever prevented their being together or to mar the pleasure of the celebration. The dinner Saturday was an elaborate one and enjoyed by the following: Miss Causby Aultman, Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Aultman, of Macon; Dr. I.R. Aultman, of Meigs; Messrs. Green and Clifford Harris, of Garden Valley; Mr. and Mrs. W.R. Whatley, D.S. Sanders, wife and daughter, W.M. Musslewhite, Hon. and Mrs. J.A. Hollis, Mr. and Mrs. James Whittington, A.M. and W.L. Carter, Mrs. Laura Long, Miss Mary Lou Emrich, Dr. T.G. Turk, Mrs. Ella Mims, Mr. H.H. Aultman, Mr. E.J. Mims and family.
