J.T. Adams, who filled his appointment at New Bethlehem Academy at 11 o’clock, we are pleased to note the wonderful improvement in farm conditions along the route. The farms of W.W. Douglass, R.E. McCrary, colored, W.H. Theus, B.F. Kirksey, J.H. Taunton, Monroe Blair, E.A.Adams, and Chap Youngblood, had the appearance of being nicely tilled, and while the cotton seems to be rather late, yet the plant is thrifty and in a fine growing condition. The corn crop does not average up to the usual standard. There is a splendid Sunday school at the academy and the fielder there is an inviting one. By previous appointment we ate dinner with the hospitable family of Mr. J.W. Schrimpshire and such a bounteous supplied table we have not seen before in a long while. We appreciate the cordial reception given and the hospitality extended to us on this trip and hope to duplicate at some future time.
