Our colored friend, Richard McCrary, who by the way is one of the most 
prosperous farmers and one of the most reliable and substantial colored 
citizens of the county, never forgets the editor when his garden is in its 
prime.  He makes truck farming one of his leading pursuits which has been the 
means of solving many problems for table necessities by the people of Butler, 
and thereby increasing his wealth.  For a crate of perfectly delicious tomatoes 
our thanks are hereby tendered.

FOR SALE

Richard McCrary, colored, has placed on the market for the next ten days only 
his fine three-horse farm with many improvements situated three miles south of 
Butler.  A fine investment for someone with a little cash.

sold his near town plantation, which is considered one of the best in this 
section, to Mr. T.P. Guthrie.
