Judge J.A. Childs Celebrates His 88th Birthday

The home of Hon. J.T. Childs was the scene of a most pleasant occasion Sunday 
and at which a sumptuous dinner was also enjoyed, the occasion being in honor 
of Judge J.A. Childs’ eighty-eighth birthday.

Not all the children of Judge Childs were able to be present on this occasion 
though all were invited, however seated around the festive board four 
generations were represented.

Judge Childs is a man of remarkable vitality, strong both in body and mind for 
one of his age.  But few occasions have afforded him more pleasure that the one 
of Sunday all of which was manifested by his radiant countenance and sunny 
nature, while he related to those present lifetime experiences.  While too 
feeble to actively engage in business his advice is often sought and he always 
directs rightly.  He is one of the noblest men of today, a diligent student of 
God’s word and walks in the path of rectitude serving his Maker continuously.

Our congratulations and best wishes for continued good health and happiness are 
added to those so freely given by hundreds of friends.
