The Butler Herald February 15, 1962
Miss Patricia Jean Palmer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jean Palmer became the 
bride of Edward WAinwright, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wainwright of Butler, 
Sunday afternoon at the First Baptist Church, Homestead, Fla.
Rev I. G. Zahler, pastor of Goulds Baptist Church officiated at the 4 o'clock 
ceremony before an alter adorned with standards of white glads and Fuji mums. 
Mrs. William Spear, organist, presented the traditional nuptial music. 
Escorted by her father, the bride was attired in a ballerina length goen of 
candlelight satin styled with mother of pearl appliques at the round neckline, 
three-quarter length sleeves in the fitter bodice and bouffant skirt. Her only 
jewelry was a single strand of pearls, a gift from the groom. She wore a pearl 
and sequin crown with finger tip veil of illusion and carried a white orchid 
and feathered carnations.
Miss Linda Smith was maid of honor and Miss Virginia Douberley was bridesmaid. 
They wore street length gowns of pastel yellow and pink silk organza styled 
with lace inserts across the square necklines and panels of lace on the full 
skirts. They wore matching headpieces with circular veils and carried Colonial 
bouquets of yellow and pink carnations.
Donald Wainwright, Butler, Ga., brother of the groom was best man. Buddy Dunn, 
also of Butler was the usher.
A reception followed the ceremony in the social hall of the church. Miss 
Janice Palmer kept the guest book. Aides were Miss Becky Thorn and Miss Peggy 
Eaker.
After a honeymoon in the state the young vouple will live in Butler. 
For traveling the bride wore a navy blue suit with white accessories and an 
orchid corsage.
