Peacock’s residence six miles south of Butler was burned Monday night about 8 o’clock. The origin of the fire is unknown, but is supposed to be incendiary. Prof. Rustin has been teaching there for the past three or four years, and seemingly to the entire satisfaction of all his patrons, and the school was among the best in the county. There were four hundred and fifty dollars insurance on the building, and with this as a nucle(paper torn), it is supposed that a modern, up-to-date building will be erected in time for fall term.
