Club The Woman’s Improvement Club met at the pretty new home of Mrs. Ben Hinton on Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Hinton and Mrs. Robert Hicks being joint hostess. After all business was transacted the following program was rendered: Duet - Misses Bonnie and Winnie Newsom Reading – Miss Susie Payne Vocal Solo – “Keep The Home Fires Burning,” by Mrs. B.W. Hinton Reading “Woman’s Share in the Nation’s Task: - Mrs. A.G. Hicks Mrs. J.H. Allen’s name was added to our already large membership. The meeting was presided over by our new president, Mrs. Robert Hicks in a most pleasing manner. After the program a delicious sweet course was served. The next meeting will be at the home of Mrs. W.E. Marshall on Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 6, with Mrs. Marshall and Mrs. A.G. Hicks joint hostess. Mr. Montgomery has kindly offered the “Movie Theatre” to the Club for a night when a fine picture will be put on. The proceeds to be used to help furnish the new W.I. Club room. Further notice will be given stating the picture to be produced and the date. A crowded house will be greatly appreciated by the Club.
