Crook, Jr. who had in the car with him Mr. Buford Jones of Thomaston, struck a two-horse wagon loaded with negroes south of Reynolds Saturday night demolishing the wagon and automobile and seriously injuring young Crook and Mr. Jones and also breaking the leg of Minnie Howard and severly bruising S.E. Carson. Young Jonessuffered a badly fractured thigh along with other injuries and Mr. Crook has been confined to his bed since the accidentsuffering with bruises and cuts. The wagon and mules were the property of Rich Howard who miraculously escaped injury. Mr. Crook is the son of M.L. Crook, well-known man of Pottersville, while Mr. Jones is from Thomaston and the brother-in-law of Mr. Troy Peterman, son of Mr. D.E. Peterman of Pottersville.
