C. Smith, M. R. Cameron and W. A. Childs entertained jointly with a lovely Valentine Party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Smith Thursday evening of last week. Each guest was requested to bring a Valentine. Partners were drawn by means of tiny red hearts, a very large red one being suspended between the parlor and dining room. Partners stood underneath this heart reading their Valentines to each other, they were then blind-folded and requested to pin a small white heart as near the center of the red one as possible to test their sincerity. Other laughable games were played followed by refreshments consisting of delicious heart-shaped ice cream and cakes. Additional Comments: Transcriber's note: Mrs. W. A. Childs is also known as Clinton Hobbs Childs. She was the daughter of James B. Hobbs and Ellen Watson. Her husband was Warren Alex Childs. Clinton is my 1st cousin 3x removed.
