Olin was born in 1866 and was reared in Macon County, in 1888 married to Alice Schrimshire which from that time we have lived happily together. Mr. Barrow is survived by his wife and eight children, besides two having preceded him to the Great Beyond. Mrs. Mary Harris, Mrs. Gertrude Albritton, Tom, Henry, Olin, Cauley, John and Louise Barrow. We don’t understand why God in His allwise providence took our dear one but we too know that He does all things for the best. Olin suffered seven long months before his death and all was done for him that loving hands could do but to no avail. Our home is dark and sad without him, his place can never be filled but as he can not come back to us we can go to him and it is sweet to think we have that great privilege of meeting him again where there is no more parting, all will be joy and love. He was a kind and loving husband and devoted father and was loved by all who knew him – was always ready to lend a helping hand to all his friends and neighbors. His presence will ever be missed most especially in our home. It is so hard for mama and the little ones to say goodbye as he lay in the casket and we too our last farewell look, but we hope to meet him face to face in the great beyond. May God help me and the children to meet him in a brighter world above for I do believe that our dear one is at rest. He feel asleep in Jesus arms on Friday before he died Tuesday at ten o’clock and never woke again. Interment took place at Mount Olive cemetery, funeral conducted by our pastor Rev. Joiner. Besides a broken-hearted family he leaves three brothers and two sisters besides a host of relatives and friends.
