At the time of his death Mr. Bone was at the home of Mr. Jeff Young in Panhandle community where he had just purchased a truck load of farm produce and was preparing to drive away. Mr. Bone was born in this county in May, 1883, the son of the late Mr. Z. T. Bone and Mrs. Nan Bonds Bone. He had spent practically all his life in this county where together with his devoted wife, Mrs. Mable Locke Bone, has reared five sons all of whom are valuable assets to the respective communities in which they reside. Funeral services for Mr. Bone were held at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist church of which he was a devoted member, at 12 o’clock noon Wednesday. Rev. E. H. Dunn, pastor of the church, officiated. He was assisted by Rev. F. J. Gilbert pastor of the local Methodist church. Pall bearers included Messrs. J. T. Cochran, Polk Harmon, L. P. Anthony, Ed Theus, L. T. Peed and P. A. Jenkins. Mr. Bone is survived by his widow and five sons, Messrs. Aubrey E., Filmore and Ray Bone of Columbus; Frank and James Bone of Butler; also two brothers, Messrs. W. E., J. M. and E. F. Bone; and one sister, Mrs. W. C. D. Cox of this county. Among the out-of-town relatives and friends attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Bone and children, Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Bone and son, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Bone all of Columbus; Mr. and Mrs. Gene Bone of Savannah; Mrs. C. F. Nelson of Huntsville, Ala.; Miss Helen Bone of Waycross; Mrs. Mark Hall and little son of Albany; Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Walden of Augusta.
