Tante Funeral Home    November 2008
Cusseta, GA – Charlie Samuel “Sam” Breland, 38, of Cusseta, GA, died Tuesday, 
November 11, 2008 in Taylor County, GA.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 15, 2008, in the 
Chapel of Tante Funeral Home in Buena Vista, GA with Reverend Mark Williams 
officiating. Music was provided by Chris and Cindy Hess and Brenda Humber. 
Burial immediately followed in Harmony Cemetery in Cusseta. Pallbearers were 
Tim Holbrook, Kelly Holbrook, Darrell Holbrook, Adam Gasper, Jeffery Lynch, 
Tom Hudson, Randy Yelverton, Joey Ammons and Larry Westbrook. The family 
received friends at Tante Funeral Home on Friday evening.

Mr. Breland was born August 10, 1970, in Columbus, GA, to the late Howard 
Lavell Breland and Patricia Ann Hudson Breland. He was employed by J & S Farms 
as a truck driver. Baptist by faith, he was a member of Cusseta Baptist 
Church. He will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his father and 
his brother, Paul Harvie Breland II.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 16 years, Christy 
Holbrook Breland; a daughter, Ashley Paige Breland; a son Paul Harvey Breland 
III, all of Cusseta; and by his father- and mother-in-law, Wiley and Wynelle 
Holbrook of Richland, GA. Numerous aunts, uncles, brothers- and sisters-in-
law, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, The American 
Diabetes Association, or to Chattahoochee County High School.  Tante Funeral 
Home of Buena Vista was in charge of arrangements.
