Macon Telegraph

Nell Pittman Brown was born June 23, 1918 in Quitman, Georgia, a daughter of the
late Malcolm and Bessie Pittman.
Lucy Nell Pittman  married William M. Brown on February 29, 1944.  (William
"Bill" Brown died January 6, 1980.)
Nell died March 31, 2011 at her daughter's home in Oconee County. (Children: Don
Brown (deceased), Susan Brown Landrum and Mel Brown)
Her funeral service was held at the Howard United Methodist Church April 3, 2011
and burial was in Howard Cemetery.
(Her parents came to Mauk in the early 1930's as depot agents for the AB&C
railroad.  Bessie Pittman had the depot agent's job during the daytime and her
husband did the job during the nights.
(Nell's obituary was an entire column from top to bottom of the Macon Telegraph
but the above were the most historical facts.)
