For nine months she had been suffering with that fatal and lamentable disease, consumption, but bore its effects with patience and Christian fortitude. She was just in bloom of youth, being only sixteen years of age, and bid fair to make an amiable and useful lady in church and society. She leaves a kind father, four affectionate brothers, and two devoted sisters to mourn her loss, but they mourn not as those who have no hope. The whole community tenders their deepest sympathy to the grief stricken family. A Friend Howard, Ga., April 25th, 1877 Additional Comments: Transcriber's note: I'm not related to the Brown family and do not have additional information about them.
