Loren Blackston

Loren Jackson Blackston, 68, of Mauk died Aug 15,
1986, at the Medical Center in Columbus.

Graveside services were held at Pine Level at 4:30
p.m. on Aug 17 with Rev. Mike Henley officiating.

He was a heavy equipment operator for Taylor County.

He survived by his wife, Mrs. Lois Blackston of Mauk;
five sons, Sidney Blackston and Paul Blackston of
Ellaville, Tommy Blackston of Tifton, Jerry Blackston
of Howard and Jackie Blackston of Mauk; five
daughters, Anne Montgomery and Arlene Jordan of
Butler, Judy McCrory of Columbus, Janice Chatman of
Franklin and Kathy Blackston of Mauk; brothers,
Leonard Blackston, Phenix City, Ala., Robert
Blackston of Amite, and Cecil Blackston of Butler;
sisters, Doris Wells, Norcross, Virginia Gomillion,
Butler, and Pauline Newsome of Phenix Cit; 19
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Rodney Chatman, Jason Gladden,
Scottie Blackston, Mauk Blackston, Darrin McCrory,
Steve Bryant, and Doug Gladden.

Edwards Funeral home, Butler, was in charge of
arrangements
