Brewer, 55 Dies at Home Near Rupert Monday, Mar. 3 Mr. Melton Monroe Brewer, 55 years of age, died at his home near Rupert Monday Afternoon March 3 at 2:30 o'clock. Mr. Brewer's death was attributed to a stroke of paralysis. He had been in declining health for the past four or five years. Mr. Brewer was born in Taylor County in June 1891 the son of the late Mr. Mose and Mrs. Appie Hill Brewer. He was engaged in farm-ing until he failed in health a few years ago. Funeral services were held at Prosperity Church Tuesday after-noon, March 4 at three o'clock. Rev W. E. Hightower, officiated. Burial was in Prosperity Cemetery. Pall bearers included Messrs William and Clyde Cooper, Lester and John Turner, Fred and Flem Brewer. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ludie Bell Cooper Brewer, and one son, Wilbur M. Brewer.
