Steed Tuesday night, July 23rd after six years of invalidism. She was a Miss Montgomery of Taylor County where she was born and reared. One sister, Mrs. Ricks, continues to reside in Reynolds. Early in life she was married to Mr. Carter and reared a large family of children, all of whom preceded her except Mrs. Steed and Mr. Carter of Tifton. She lived eighty-nine years of usefulness. Her children and grandchildren shall rise up and called her blessed. The remains were interred in the family lot at Pine Level Church, Rev. L.A. Harrell, of Butler officiating.
