Cook, wife of the Secretary-Treasurer of the Board of Stewards of the Reynolds Methodist Church, went home to the God who gave it. Sister Cook had been a life-long resident of this community for many years a member of this church and was highly esteemed for her loveliness of character. Therefore be it resolved by the Official Board of the said Reynolds Methodist Church, in Quarterly Conference assembled, that we deeply sympathize with our brother Cook in the sad affliction that has thus come into his life and home, and that we pray the sustaining grace of our heavenly Father shall be with him and his two sons to keep and guide each of them through life. Resolved, further, that the prayerful sympathy of this body is extended Brothers, F.A. and W.T. Ricks, their mother and their entire families in that they have shared in the sorrow that has come to the home of Brother Cook. Resolved, further, that these resolutions be spread upon the Minutes of this session of this Quarterly Conference, that a copy be furnished Brother Cook and that the Butler Herald is hereby requested to publish.
