Cooper, After A Long Illness, Passed Away Sunday Night Mr. Charles F. Cooper, age 65 years, well known throughout Taylor and adjoining counties, died at his home in Reynolds Sunday night following a long illness from stomach trouble. He was a member of the mercantile firm of Cooper Brothers which for many years has been a success. He was also a big planter and through these mediums he had accumulated considerable wealth. Mr. Cooper spent all of his life in or near Reynolds, and was held in the highest esteem by his fellow citizens. He is survived by five brother and three sisters. In the death of Mr. Cooper his family has sustained the loss of a devoted member and the community has lost a good citizen. Funeral and interment of the remains of Mr. Cooper took place Monday afternoon at the family burial lot at New Prospect church, three miles west of Reynolds. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. J.W. Smith, pastor of the Reynolds Baptist church. Cooper whose home was in Reynolds. His remains were laid to rest at this place last Monday at 3:30 o’clock, funeral services being conducted by Rev. J.W. Smith of Reynolds. Cooper’s Butler friends and they are numerous, were shocked and grieved to learn of his death which occurred at his home at Reynolds Sunday night. The sympathy of our people is extended to his loved ones. He was a good citizen and will be greatly missed in our county. His remains were interred in the cemetery at New Prospect Monday.
