Crawford Died In Atlanta Wednesday After several months of bad health Mr. A.J. Crawford, one of the best businessmen and most highly esteemed citizens of Reynolds, died at an early hour Wednesday morning at Fischer’s sanitarium in Atlanta where he underwent an operation some days ago. His remains were brought to Reynolds Wednesday afternoon and funeral services will be conducted from his late residence this morning. The deceased is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. H.H. Newsom, Messrs. E.M., Emmett, S.T., Mance and Charlie Crawford. Also the following brothers and sisters, Mr. L.A. Crawford, of Thomaston, Mr. M.C. Crawford, of Reynolds, Mrs. Jesse Pasley, of Thomaston. Mr. Crawford was 60 years of age on the 12th day of October of this year and had been a resident of Reynolds for the past fourteen years moving from Woodbury to this place. No man ever took a greater interest in his town or community than did Mr. Crawford. He was in many respects a remarkable man, being highly endowed with many fine traits of character that were the admiration of his fellow men, as well as splendid business qualities by which he accumulated a nice fortune in a few years. To his family he was ever faithful and true and honest marked every walk of his life. He was a member of the Methodist church and a Mason. In the death of Mr. Crawford Reynolds and Taylor County has lost one of its most useful citizen, who will be greatly missed by all. The bereaved family have the sympathy of a host of friends.
